US government openly admits arming Mexican drug gangs with 30,000 firearms - but why?
by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor(NaturalNews) It is now a widely-reported fact that under the Obama administration, U.S. federal agents actively placed over 30,000 fully-functional weapons into the hands of Mexican drug gangs, then halted all surveillance and tracking activities of where those weapons were going.
This is not a conspiracy theory, nor a piece of fiction. It is now an openly-admitted fact that this was pulled off by the BATFE (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, more commonly called "ATF") under orders from Washington. The program was called "Fast and Furious."
Even Reuters is now covering the news and reporting how members of Congress are outraged to learn that this happened (http://www.reuters.com/article/2011...).
Details are also starting to leak about the cover-up inside ATF, which was led by the U.S. Attorney in Arizona, Dennis Burke, an Obama appointee (http://dailycaller.com/2011/07/06/i...). The engineering of the illegal gun running went right up the chain of command to the director of the ATF, Kenneth Melson, who is now expected to resign. The real planning of this event went even higher up the chain of command in Washington, possibly all the way to Attorney General Eric Holder (http://dailycaller.com/2011/06/21/i...).
Among the firearms sold to the Mexican drug gangs were AK-47s, thousands of pistols and, remarkably, .50-caliber rifles which are typically used to disable vehicles or carry out sniper-based assassinations at extremely long ranges (up to two miles). The mainstream media is now reporting that these weapons are turning up in violent crimes being committed in Phoenix, Arizona. As an ABC news affiliate reports:
"According to the testimony of three Phoenix ATF agents, including Dodson, hundreds of weapons are now on the streets in the United States and Mexico, possibly in the hands of criminals. Dodson estimated the number could be as many as 1,800 weapons. He estimated agents in the Phoenix field division facilitated the sale of approximately 2,500 weapons to straw purchasers. A few hundred have been recovered." (http://www.abc15.com/dpp/news/local...)
How the "Fast and Furious" program put thousands of weapons directly into the hands of Mexican drug gangs
Here's how "Fast and Furious" worked: Under orders from Washington, ATF agents were specifically told to acquire these weapons using "straw" buyers in the USA, find new buyers in Mexican drug gangs, then sell the weapons and "lose track" of them. Although some agents raised concerns about the insanity, they were overruled by the higher-ups in Washington who wanted to pursue this policy for their own reasons. "It made no sense to us either, it was just what we were ordered to do, and every time we questioned that order there was punitive action," said Phoenix Special Agent John Dodson. But what could be the reasons for Washington initiating such a program in the first place? Why would the Obama administration actively send 30,000 sniper rifles, assault weapons and firearms into Mexico even while claiming to follow an anti-gun stance back in the USA?
To answer that question, you need to understand P.R.S -- Problem, Reaction, Solution. It is the "playbook" that governments use to get what they want, which usually involves: 1) Disarming their populations, 2) Taking away all their rights and freedoms, and then 3) Ruling over their people as tyrants with complete power.
Precisely such an effort is now underway in the United States, led by the Obama administration which has repeatedly demonstrated itself to be an enemy of the U.S. Constitution and its Bill of Rights.
How Problem, Reaction, Solution really works
If you're the U.S. government, you can't just announce a new program to disarm the country, end the Bill of Rights and install yourself as the King. People won't go for it if you try to sell it that way. Instead, you need to find a way to get people to BEG you to do all that.So you need a way to put people in a state of mind where they are terrified of drugs, terrified of guns and terrified of the border violence -- to the point where they insist that somebody in Washington do something about it.
Therefore, you first need a way to cause the problem that results in all the violence that people react to. You effectively need to create violence and then wait for people to beg you to stop it.
This is where the Obama administration's program to send 30,000 firearms into Mexico comes into play. If you want to cause gun violence and drug war violence, what better way to accomplish it than to just arm all the bad guys?
Think about it: 30,000 weapons in the hands of drug criminals! Then all you have to do is sit back and wait for all the violence to kick in. And it has kicked in -- in huge numbers. Shootings on the border, kidnappings, armed conflict across the border with U.S. border agents, and so on. Violent crimes in Arizona are now being committed with these very same weapons the ATF trafficked into the hands of Mexican drug gangs.
As Judicial Watch president Tim Fitton explains, his belief is that Operation Fast and Furious was purely an anti-gun political ploy from the Obama administration, designed to put more guns into the hands of criminals as a justification for confiscating guns from all citizens. He adds, "I think another major part of this story is that the narrative of the Obama administration and the ATF is that, 'wouldn't it be great if we could tie guns, as part of our anti-gun agenda, to the Mexican civil war, as opposed to, you know, our lack of enforcement of the drug laws or failure to protect the borders.'" (http://dailycaller.com/2011/06/21/i...)
And here's the real kicker: Of all the weapons now being confiscated by police in Mexico, an astonishing 70 percent came from the United States. So now you have a situation where the USA is actually arming the criminals in Mexico and destabilizing that country's entire system of law and order. The drug gangs are at war with the police there, and thanks to thinks like U.S.-supplies AK-47s and .50-caliber sniper rifles, the drug gangs are winning!
ATF can now demand more power and bigger budgets
Getting back to the U.S. issue, if you're the DEA or the ATF, you now have 30,000 more reasons to have your own budgets increased. There's a wave of violence coming across the border! The drug gangs are out of control! They're shooting back!Well gee, I wonder why? It's because the ATF actually sold them these 30,000 rifles under orders from Washington.
And now the Obama administration is, predictably, saying there's so much "gun violence" in the Southern USA that new laws are needed to curb gun sales there.
Seriously? New laws? What about the 30,000 guns the ATF openly and admittedly sold to the Mexican drug gangs? Wasn't that already a violation of law?
It all comes back to Problem, Reaction, Solution, you see. Want to keep the useless War on Drugs going a little longer? Just dump a few thousand pounds of cocaine into the hands of criminals and let 'em run loose with it. Want to beef up the budgets of the ATF? Just distribute 30,000 illegal weapons into the hands of drug gangs and then sit back and wait for people to beg for your help. Want to justify a war on "terror" in the Middle East? Dream up some stupid story about Weapons of Mass Destruction and then launch a war.
For every power-hungry tyrannical agenda in Washington, there's a false flag operation that will make it come true.
If the U.S. government would actively arm drug gangs, in what other ways might it betray the American people?
Now that you know the truth about how Washington put 30,000 guns into the hands of Mexican drug gangs, it naturally makes you start to wonder about the government's involvement with things like vaccines.Want to make people so afraid of infectious disease that they beg for vaccines? Just release an infectious disease into the population yourself! It's a simple matter, really.
Want to get the public to beg for new food safety regulations? Just release e.coli into the food supply and then wait for the deaths to be reported in the news. All of a sudden people are demanding more food safety regulations.
Want to justify military imperialism and expansion? Just stage your own terrorist attack against your own country! Then magically find the passports of some terrorists at the scene of the crime and blame the whole thing on them.
When theory becomes fact
You see, all this used to exist solely in the realm of conspiracy theory. A few years ago, if you even suggested this kind of thing was going on, you were called a kook. But now it's an established fact being reported by Reuters, Washington Post and other major news outlets. Now the U.S. government has been forced to admit that yes, it actively delivered 30,000 firearms into the hands of Mexican drug gangs and then intentionally stopped tracking where they went. This is no longer conspiracy theory. It's conspiracy FACT. And similar types of operations are being planned right now for other agendas the government has in mind: Taking away your Fourth Amendment rights, for example. How do you accomplish that? Just stage an airport terrorism attack, just like the one the TSA was caught rehearsing in Minnesota (http://www.naturalnews.com/032458_T...).
Want to take away peoples' Second Amendment rights? Just brainwash some low-IQ psychopath to walk into a shopping mall and start blazing away with fully automatic weapons that were provided to him by the ATF!
It's simple, you see. Pick a topic, choose an agenda, then cause the problem yourself. Then sit back and wait for the reaction. Works every time.
The CDC pulled the same stunt back in the 1980's with AIDS. At a time when the CDC was facing severe budget cuts, it actually hyped up the whole AIDS epidemic and started releasing complete scientific fictions as if they were fact. The disease mongering by the CDC caused widespread fear and panic across the country, earning it huge budget increases from the U.S. government.
This is all fully documented in the movie House of Numbers, by the way, using recorded video interviews from many of the key scientists involved in the whole fiasco who finally went on record to tell the truth. Almost everything you've been fed about AIDS is a fabrication or a distortion of the scientific truth. Watch these astonishing videos to see for yourself:

http://naturalnews.tv/v.asp?v=4FE73...
The American government is working AGAINST you, not for you
The point in all this is that much of what you see happening in the world today in terms of terrorism, the drug war, infectious disease and health care are just fabricated, staged events actually pulled off by the very people who stand to benefit from the reaction!Suckers and sheeple always believe the mainstream news at face value. They believe we're under attack from terrorists who bring down tall buildings, or we're being assaulted by Mexican drug gangs on the border, or we're threatened by the Swine Flu. That's what suckers are supposed to believe, you see: That your government is never working against you... it's always working FOR you, right?
But intelligent people know the opposite is true: Your government is usually plotting against you and trying to figure out how to expand its power, expand its reach, reduce your freedoms and control your life. This is accomplished by unleashing the very problems that the government claims to be fighting to prevent.
The government, for example, says it's trying to solve our nation's economic problems. And how does it accomplish that? By generating trillions of dollars in new fiat currency and handing it over to the criminals running Wall Street. This has the net effect of stealing money from everybody else through dollar devaluation.
How does the government solve our national health care crisis? By enacting Obamacare, which mandates that more people buy into a system that has utterly failed to serve the health interests of the American people in the first place!
So at the very same time the government says it's working to improve the economy, it's actually stealing from you behind your back. At the very same time the government says it's trying to stop cancer, its own health-related agencies (National Cancer Institute, for example) are openly engaged in massive disinformation campaigns that spread false information about sunlight being "dangerous" to your health (while conveniently ignoring the truth about vitamin D and its cancer preventive properties).
The government says it wants to make your food safer, and yet the USDA keeps approving genetically modified foods that are essentially massive biological experiments that cause widespread infertility and disease.
The same story goes on and on... with fluoride in the water, mercury in dental fillings, aspartame in diet sodas, pesticide use in agriculture and so on. At nearly every turn, the government itself is actively plotting against the People to keep them financially enslaved, biologically diseased and mentally ignorant.
Shipping guns into Mexico, you see, is just a tiny part of the big picture that's going on today in the USA. The same process -- Problem, Reaction, Solution -- is in use almost everywhere in government at both the state and federal level.
Big Government is the enemy of peace and freedom
Bureaucrats hate to lose their jobs, and if there's a way to stage something that makes them suddenly look more important, they won't hesitate to roll it out. The U.S. government, just so you know, has been actively engaged in weapons trafficking, drug running and counterfeiting for decades. If you or I did what our own government does every single day, we'd be arrested as felony criminals. But when the government runs guns into Mexico, or traffics in cocaine, or prints counterfeit dollar bills that have no backing with real value, somehow it's all okay.Amazing how our own government has now turned into the very criminals that it claims to be protecting us against, isn't it? Who are the real terrorists in America? The ATF agents running guns into the hands of Mexican drug gangs, of course. And the FBI agents who set up Arab-looking patsies to try to set off fake bombs that the FBI actually assembled for them!
By the way, Alex Jones (www.PrisonPlanet.com) has been covering all this for years. He's been saying this all along, and time and time again, he's been proven right. I realize his presentation style may seem a little intense to some people, but at the end of the day, Alex Jones is far more accurate at decoding what's really going on behind the scenes than any mainstream news channel or newspaper. Here's an article from InfoWars on this very topic: http://www.infowars.com/obama-admin...
I'm scheduled to host the Alex Jones show next week and will likely be discussing more about the ATF's gun-running activities in Mexico. In the mean time, stay tuned to NaturalNews.com for more stories that aren't afraid to report the truth about what's really happening in our world today.
World to be force-fed test tube meat after livestock failure
by C.E Burch(NaturalNews) In vitro meat is one of the latest attempts from scientists and bio-engineers to create a substitute for traditional meat production. The technology for creating meats through meat cultures in vitro is far from perfected, but enthusiasm for the effort is plentiful. Support for cultured meat technology comes from a wide spectrum of interests as well.
Many vegans are stepping forward in endorsement of the pseudo meats citing the cruelty of traditional animal meat production, the use of hormones, antibiotics and ultimately the slaughter of millions of animals yearly.
Animal rights advocates have also stepped forward in support of this technology. In fact, PETA has gone so far as to offer a reward of a million dollars to any entity that can develop an in vitro meat product that can be cost effectively mass produced.
The scientists and backers of this technology suggest that a burgeoning population makes developing in vitro meats a necessity for a litany of reasons. For instance, traditional animal husbandry requires vast tracts of land, and stores of water.
Livestock also contributes to global warming. Pundits suggest that in vitro meat will be safer and healthier. Their reasoning includes the argument that cholesterol and fat can be regulated during production. In addition, because the product will be produced under strict quality control, food borne bacteria will be significantly reduced.
How is in vitro meat produced?
A simple explanation of in vitro meat includes:
1. Harvesting of cells from a healthy donor animal
2. Separation of cells from tissue - Primarily muscle cells and stem cells
3. Cultivating cells in a nutritious solution
4. Bulking newly formed tissue up
5. Mincing for meat product
That sounds easy enough. What's the problem? Apparently there are a few. For example, though there has been success in making in vitro meat strips suitable for mincing, the appearance and taste of the meat is less than appealing up to this point.
The technology is far from economical at this stage for a variety of reasons. For instance, much of the current production of in vitro meat relies on using non animal based nutrients to grow the cells in. Animal products can't be used in the process because the cells can't digest animal derived nutrients themselves. Instead solutions must contain nutrients from other sources such as plant and microorganisms. This result in a slower process, so mass production is not available at this point.
Though in vitro meat production doesn't require the use of genetically modified organisms, the idea of using enhanced meat is being discussed as a means to speeding up the production process. In addition, the use of growth hormone has also been considered by some researchers.
Engineered meat may help meet the high demand world wide as traditional ranching and farming flounders under the demand, but there are unanswered questions with the use of these products. For instance, how will in vitro meat stack up nutritionally to natural beef?
Will in vitro meats be affordable especially to people in third world countries or to poor people in developed nations? Will GMOs and growth hormones be necessary for the production of this food, and who will have control over this new technology?
Meat consumption may not necessarily be essential to survival, but animal products remain one of the most efficient ways of acquiring certain nutrients such as B12, and iron. This is especially important for areas with limited agricultural opportunities and for cultures that rely heavily on animal products for sustenance.
In vitro meats are also a concern for people who are concerned about turning over control of the world s food supply to a handful of agribusinesses. For specialized food production such as in vitro products may be cost prohibitive, and traditional family owned agribusinesses will likely go bankrupt.
The world has an enormous appetite for animal products and that combined with a population explosion means that we will have to look for solutions that are affordable, safe and nutritious. If we are unable to do so, control of the world's food supplies will slip away from individuals, families, regions, and even independent nations and fall into the hands of large agribusinesses and corporations. Even more disturbing will be having no control whatsoever in what goes in to the foods we eat.
Furthermore relinquishing control over what foods we eat and how it is produced sets a dangerous president as well. For instance, will we be penalized if we choose to raise our own foods, or buy natural or organic foods produced by small companies?
Will the in vitro meat industry be required to label their foods for any genetic modifications they deem necessary? Science has made huge contributions to food production and feeding the population.
However, science shouldn't rule the world; rather it should enhance and support the population and their will. Here is a quote from the web page of The Centre for Society and Genomics, a think tank heavily invested in in vitro meat based in the Netherlands, for your consideration:
"Genomics can lead to better quality foodstuffs. What's more, genomics research can contribute towards a personalized diet, leading to a healthier lifestyle. But are these promises not too rash, considering the complex relationship between food and health? And what if the knowledge and opportunities are available, but consumers refuse to follow the lifestyle that is good for them, should they then be held personally responsible for the consequences?" TSA screener sticks traveler's iPad down his pants, steals $50,000 in other electronics
by Ethan A. Huff, staff writer(NaturalNews) For all the advanced security and screening techniques it uses against innocent air travelers, the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) sure has a hard time keeping its own corrupt workers from committing crimes against those it is supposedly tasked with protecting.
According to a recent report in Broward - Palm Beach New Times, 30-year-old Nelson Santiago, a former TSA worker, stole at least $50,000 worth of electronics from passengers at Fort Lauderdale - Hollywood International Airport's Terminal 1 within the last six months, including a traveler's iPad that he shoved down his pants during a routine screening.
So while innocent airline travelers were busy being herded through naked body scanners and physically violated by other government workers who were grabbing their private parts, Santiago was rummaging through their luggage and snagging whatever appeared to be of high value.
His spoils included laptop computers, GPS devices, video cameras, and a slew of other high-dollar electronics -- and this time when he was actually caught, it was an iPad that he literally swiped from a bag and tried to hide in his pants.
Somehow the entire TSA security circus was distracting enough for Santiago to have the time to dig through travelers' personals, find items of value, steal them, take pictures of them, and immediately upload them online to sell.
Reports indicate that Santiago often sold the items to buyers online before he had even finished his TSA shift at the airport for the day. But this time, he was caught red-handed with his loot, and was subsequently fired from his TSA position. He was also arrested and later released on a $4,000 bond where he awaits potential further charges.
TSA officials claim the incident is isolated, and that it has a "zero tolerance for theft." But if this is true, why did the agency fail to address the countless other thefts committed by Santiago in the months prior to the iPad incident?
Surely the passengers from whom he stole at least $50,000 worth of electronics from reported their losses to police and to the agency -- upon which they were likely told that authorities would "look into the situation."
In truth, the only reason it appears Santiago was held responsible for his crimes is because he was actually caught doing it this time. His many other thefts, which took place behind the cloak of TSA's "advanced" security protocols, were never properly addressed, and they likely never would have been were it not for Santiago's idiocy in the iPad stunt.
The real danger when flying is having to deal with the TSA and its screening methods. Not only do air travelers have to worry about deadly radiation being blasted at them from the naked body scanners, as well as the probing and prodding fingers of agents violating their personal privacy and freedom during pat downs, but now they have to worry about getting robbed.
Since December 2010, roughly ten TSA screeners have been arrested for property theft, while numerous others have been arrested for serious crimes like possessing child pornography, trafficking drugs, and even assaulting passengers (http://www.naturalnews.com/the_TSA.html).
In other news, TSA agents working at Newark International Airport in New Jersey were recently disciplined summoned to additional "training" after their coworkers accused them of acting like "Mexican hunters" by profiling passengers of Mexican and Dominican descent for no particular reason (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/06/12/national/main20070709.shtml).

Doctors refusing to treat overweight patients?
by J. D. Heyes(NaturalNews) Increasingly, if you're not a healthy person already, more and more doctors are shying away from you. In a profession where the axiom, "Do No Harm" is supposed to reign supreme, some physicians are saying "Don't Come to Me" instead, especially for patients who are obese.
A few doctors in Florida have begun to turn away obese patients, claiming they come with too many health problems and risks. Some physicians who specialize in obstetrics and gynecology in particular, have set weight limits for new patients or other measures of obesity. Any woman who surpasses those standards is turned away.
"People don't realize the risk we're taking by caring for these patients," said Dr. Albert Triana, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "There's more risk of something going wrong and getting sued. Everything is more complicated with an obese patient in GYN surgeries and in [pregnancies]."
In the South Florida region alone, 15 OB/GYN practices out of 105 polled by the newspaper turned away obese patients. Some practices set weight limits of 200 pounds; others 250 pounds.
Part of the problem, say the physicians, is that obese patients tend to have more health issues. Another reason is continuity of practice; since obesity causes other medical problems, the doctors say they then have to send their patients to other physicians who specialize in those problems.
"This is not a high-risk practice," one medical office manager told the paper, adding that the physicians in that particular OB/GYN office "are not experts in obesity."
Doctors who specialize in OB/GYN practices have for years turned away pregnant women who are obese, referring them instead to specialists. But now, that trend is moving towards women who are not pregnant, just obese.
Not all physicians feel that way. Some area doctors interviewed by the paper said they would never consider turning away obese patients.
"If I had that policy, I wouldn't have a practice. I'd lose half my patients," Dr. Maureen Whelihan, a West Palm Beach OB/GYN said. "We never turn down anyone. We would see them, and if we had to, we would refer them to a specialist."
Medical ethicists say doctors turning people away because of what is clearly a medical condition is just plain wrong.
"To refuse to even see a patient because they are overweight is not reasonable and not ethical," said Dr. Charles D. Rosen, president of the Association of Medical Ethics, told CBS News.
"This is discriminating against people who have a medical problem. It is like discriminating against someone who is African-American or short or has a certain employment," he added.
Coconut sugar quickly replacing agave nectar as natural sweetener of choice

NaturalNews Insider Alert ( http://www.naturalnews.com/ ) - please forward
Dear NaturalNews readers,
Over the last two years, we've witnessed a mass exodus away from agave nectar and a search for more natural sweeteners that are both low on the glycemic index and high in nutrient density. Several candidates have emerged, but my all-out favorite has become coconut sugar, which is really more like a coconut caramel sap.
This sweetener is fast becoming extremely popular among raw foodies, vegans and vegetarians. Many have switched from agave nectar to coconut sugar for all the reasons I'm covering here.
The coconut sugar (sap) I've been using is a 100% pure organic crystallized coconut sap from Thailand. It's harvested from the sap of unopened coconut blossoms, then boiled under controlled heat to drive off the water and condense the liquid to a dark brown sap. There are no additives used, no bleaching, and absolutely no stripping of minerals or other nutrients. It's not a raw food, however. Cooking the sap is a necessary part of concentrating it, just like with maple syrup, which is really a concentration of the watery maple sap.
The result is a thick, liquid "caramel" sap that's brown in color and extremely sweet. It tastes almost like fudge, and some people even eat it like fudge. (Intense sweetness!) I use it in smoothies, where I've found it to offer the most full-spectrum sweetness taste from any natural sweetener I've ever tried. Agave nectar was great, but coconut sugar is so much better -- it actually reminds me of the richness of raw cane sugar juice that I used to drink in South America.
Works in smoothies, recipes and hot beverages
This caramelized coconut sugar is also very handy in its sap format: It melts easily in hot beverages, it mixes easily in recipes, and it blends easily in smoothies. Amazingly, it's only 12% sugar, and it's high in potassium, magnesium, zinc and iron. It's also high in several key B vitamins, so eating it is not just delicious; it's also healthy! (My theory is that the presence of certain trace minerals enhances the sweetness and richness of the flavor without needing high sugar content like you'll find in refined sugar...)
This is my new sweetener of choice, and it's so good that we shipped in a few thousand units and put it on sale so that NaturalNews readers can try it at a 29% discount off regular pricing. Click here to check out our 3 lb. Thai Coconut Sugar at the NaturalNews Store.
When you buy a 3-pack (three pails) of our Thai Coconut Sugar (9 lbs total), the discount is increased to 36% off. We're doing this at such a great discount to help introduce you to this amazing product so you can try it yourself.
We also have the same product available in smaller jars at up to 36% off, too. However, it's a far better value to purchase in the larger pails, where the final price is less than $6 / pound based on the 3-pack discount.
You will be amazed by the taste of this Thai coconut sugar. There's nothing like it in the world of natural sweeteners. I encourage you to actually try it straight! It's an intense, fudge-like taste with an amazing texture that just melts in your mouth. Drop it into smoothies or recipes to give them a taste of heaven.
The claimed glycemic index (GI) of this food is 35 -- which is extraordinarily low for a sweetener. Over the years, however, I've gained a fair amount of skepticism about the GI numbers that sweetener companies claim. However, I've been using it regularly and have had no blood sugar issues at all -- and I used to be hypoglycemic and borderline diabetic, so I'm extremely sensitive to my own blood sugar fluctuations. Try it yourself and I think you'll be surprised at the minimal impact this has on blood sugar (which is probably due in part to the high trace mineral content it contains).

Enjoy!
