TSA agents in violation of US Constitution, police must arrest them, says group
by Jonathan Benson, staff writer(NaturalNews) The Libertarian Party of Florida recently sent a letter to all 67 county sheriffs in the Sunshine State urging them to stop ignoring the abuses taking place by the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) against innocent travelers, and to begin actually enforcing the law and making arrests.
The letter addresses the TSA's blatant disregard for state and federal laws with its routine operations, and correctly identifies the agency's enhanced screening methods as clear constitutional violations.
The letter begins with a petition to Florida's sheriffs to remember that all men and women are granted certain rights that are meant to be protected by the government, not violated or restricted in any way. One of these is protection against unreasonable search and seizure, which is the pretense of the Fourth Amendment to the US Constitution.
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures, and against the unreasonable interception of private communications by any means, shall not be violated," states the amendment. It goes on to basically say that without a warrant or probably cause, no free individual can be arbitrarily searched or restrained.
And yet every single day, TSA agents unlawfully take naked pictures of innocent air travelers, and subject them to invasive pat-down procedures that are really nothing more than sexual assault. Just because the TSA is a federally-appointed agency does not mean that it is legitimate or even lawful, and the Libertarian Part of Florida hopes that Florida sheriffs will take responsibility and fulfill their duties as law enforcement by putting an end to the abuses.
"As Sheriff, you have the absolute duty to enforce the law uniformly and without prejudice," says the letter. "You are, at best, engaged in selective enforcement by choosing to further ignore these flagrant violations of federal and state law. At worst, you are complicit."
This selective enforcement and complicit dereliction of duty is not limited to Florida, either. Sheriffs all across the US have essentially turned a blind eye to the TSA's criminal activity, most likely out of fear of retribution. But these same sheriffs took an oath to support, protect and defend the Constitution, even if that threat comes from within, and they are lawfully bound to uphold it.

My prayer is that all law enforcement throughout the US will do the same.
Therre is such a spirit of lawlessness throughout the country and the world that I am not sure things will ever return to where they were.
It only serves to remind us saints that this world is not our home.
