Efrain Vazquez works on my job as a maintenance man for a department called Office Services. We all call him Frankie. He was telling me an experience he had recently while he was preaching in his neighborhood of the Bronx.
A man came to him after he finished preaching and told him that the lady he (the man) was with was not his wife. Frankie began explaining to him how God is always willing to forgive you of sin if you repent and turn away. For instance if God tells you to stop your adultery and it may take 6 months, one year or two years or three years God is willing to forgive you if you repent and stop sinning. But the devil on the other hand is always ready to destroy you, your family, your health your finances; everything; and often if we wait too long to obey God's call He will allow your sins to be exposed before everyone. Now for instance if you go up the block and around the corner to take the subway with your girlfriend and out of the clear blue even though you and your wife live in Brooklyn, she needs to come to the Bronx for some reason. As you and your girlfriend walk to the subway, there is your wife.
As Frankie was telling this the man decided to listen to God and stop committing adultery. So he leaves the service with his girlfriend, they walk up the block and around the corner to the subway. Shortly, back at the service the people hear screaming and they all ran up the block to see what it was.
Almost immediately they all run back and say to Frankie; " You are a prophet, you are a prophet. Just as you had told the man, it happened. As he was walking with the woman to the train station, they both ran into his wife and she began beating the woman up."
My friends, I encourage anyone who is not a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and you know He is calling you, please respond to Him now. Don't wait. Don't put it off. You are not promised tomorrow or even latter this afternoon, or tonight even. This is what the Scripture says:
Psalms 95:8 Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
Hebrews 3:15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Psalms 105:3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Acts 17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
So we are encouraged to seek the Lord by obeying His call as He stands at the door of our hearts ( Rev.3:20)
He is as close as our next breath. If you sense Him calling you answer Him respond to Him. The end of the world is upon us and there are so many tragedies but in the Lord you can be safe. You can cast all your cares upon Him.
